About Comodi Trade
Comodi Trade imports single-origin natural raw materials from West Africa and supplies them at container scale to European manufacturers — cosmetics and personal care first, food and pharmaceutical applications where the specification allows.
The company is young and we would rather say so than perform a history we do not have. What sits behind it is a family trading business at the same Berlin address and a direct producer relationship in Bamako — which is the part that actually matters when a container has to be right.
How we work
A narrow range is a choice, not a limitation. Knowing one supply lane well means we can answer a question about a batch without calling three intermediaries first — and it is why we can publish a lab analysis rather than a marketing claim.
We publish laboratory values for the material we have had analysed and we say plainly where we have not. We hold no product certification today, and the site says so on the product page rather than implying otherwise.
A first order from an unfamiliar supplier is a real risk for a procurement team. Taking 30 % up front and the balance after you have inspected the container moves most of that risk back onto us, which is where it belongs.
Who runs it
Comodi Trade is managed by Gilles Soglo, named as Geschäftsführer in the commercial register. There is no anonymous trading desk behind this — you can see who is responsible, and you will deal with them.
