Specifications, documents and answers

Everything a procurement or QA team normally has to ask for before a first order. Anything not here is one email away — we do not put documentation behind a form.

Certificate of Analysis

Batch-specific, on request

A COA is issued against the batch you are actually buying, by UBF Untersuchungs- und Forschungslaboratorium GmbH or an equivalent ISO 17025:2018 accredited laboratory. It is not bundled into every shipment by default, because it carries a real per-batch cost that would otherwise be priced into material nobody asked to have tested.

Buyers in regulated industries — pharmaceutical, GMP cosmetics — normally do want it. Say so with the enquiry and it is quoted with the order rather than negotiated afterwards.

The published analysis on the product page (sample 202601220801, 11.02.2026) is a laboratory measurement of a production sample. It is evidence of what the material is, not a substitute for a COA on your own batch.

Buyer FAQ

What buyers ask first

What is the minimum order?

18 tons — one 20 ft full container load. Less-than-container shipping is technically possible but the freight-to-value ratio makes it uneconomic for everyone involved, so we do not actively offer it.

How long from order to delivery?

Four weeks from confirmed order to arrival at a European port, under normal carrier conditions. Congestion at a destination terminal can add to that and we tell you as soon as we know, not after the fact.

What are the payment terms?

30 % on order confirmation and 70 % after you have received and inspected the container at destination. There is no letter of credit requirement for a first order.

Which Incoterms do you quote?

CIF to your named port, or DAP to an address you specify. Both are quoted on request — the difference is who runs the destination leg and where risk transfers.

Is the product certified?

No. Comodi Trade holds no product certification at this time and we would rather state that than imply one. IFS Food Broker certification is planned. EU-Organic material can be sourced where a buyer requires it, at a purchase premium, and is arranged per order rather than held in stock.

Can it be used in food applications?

The current Technical Data Sheet covers the material as a cosmetics and personal-care ingredient, and its regulatory statement is against Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009. Food-contact use needs its own specification and documentation. Tell us the application and we will tell you honestly whether we can document it today or not yet.

How is a batch-specific COA issued?

Through UBF GmbH or an equivalent ISO 17025 accredited laboratory, against the shipment you are actually buying. It is not included by default because it carries a real per-batch cost; buyers in regulated industries usually want it and it is quoted with the order.

How should the material be stored on arrival?

Closed container, cool and dry, out of direct sunlight. Shelf life is a minimum of 24 months under those conditions.

Do you supply samples?

Yes, for buyers evaluating a container order. Send the specification your formulation team works to and the volume you are planning, and we will arrange it alongside the quote.

Need a document that is not listed?

Import requirements differ by destination and by industry. Tell us which country and which application, and we will tell you what we can document today — including where the answer is “not yet”.
